Air valves
· Used to prevent air from separating the water column in the network when it is in operation and to allow air to enter when it is empty, avoiding pressures below the atmospheric.
· The air in the pipes can cause problems such as loss of hydraulic capacity, cavitation, water hammer, corrosion and pipe break.
